AENY, located in midtown New York City, is a New York State Certified Engineering Services Organization specializing in naval architecture, marine, mechanical, facilities engineering, and electrical and electronics engineering. Our services have been utilized by ship-owners, shipyards, state and local governments. We are a small business yet our resources represent a major source of expertise in the Northeast.
The AENY Marine Division is experienced in all phases of commercial ship design, shipyard and shipboard operations, and fleet support. Expertise includes hull structure and outfitting; electrical systems; mechanical systems; communication systems; control, alarm and monitoring systems; propulsion systems; cargo handling and boat handling systems; and construction inspection. Our naval architecture, marine engineering and ship design work has addressed a wide variety of vessels including tankers, containerships, bulk carriers, ferries, tugboats, barges, passenger ships, research vessels, high speed craft, and fireboats. Our work products have included entire vessel design; stability studies; resistance and powering, seakeeping and maneuvering predictions; vibration analysis; model testing plans and on-site representation; weight and construction cost estimating; as well as construction inspection.
The AENY Electrical and Electronics Division is likewise experienced in commercial facilities and transportation infrastructure engineering, particularly with security system integration. The work of our professional engineering consultants has addressed railroads, bus terminals, airports and their infrastructure, perimeter intrusion systems, marine terminals, bridges, tunnels, roadways, toll facilities and buildings of various types. Our work products have included CCTV, access control, messaging and signs, public address systems, ITS, fiber optics, SONET, communication systems including radio frequency, and infrastructure backbone integration for all systems.
